Support Livability and welcome in the Christmas season at this traditional Carol Service

Livability’s Christmas Carol Service returns to the famous St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in Trafalgar Square. We’ll be celebrating the birth of Christ, the good news of the Christmas story and the importance of friendship and community in the lives of the people we support.

Why attend?

As a major event in Livability’s calendar, this event attracts large crowds, celebrity speakers, and world class opera singers.

Attending our concert is a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas and helps us to raise much-needed funds to support disabled people at risk of loneliness and isolation.

All proceeds from the event go towards the work of Livability.

Back by popular demand, our hosts for 2018 are Pam Rhodes and The Reverend Canon Roger Royle.

Joined by a talented and diverse group of first class performers and musicians, this year’s line up includes:

The BBC’s ‘The Voice’ duettists – Classical Reflection: 23 year old classically trained identical twin sopranos Naomi and Hannah Moxon appeared on the BBC’s show ‘The Voice’; receiving millions views of their angelic blind audition. Naomi and Hannah have independently achieved a number 3 selling classical album ‘Echo’ in the UK Official Classical Charts; subsequently being featured on Classic FM and BBC radio stations.

Canticum Chamber Choir: Canticum is one of the most musically versatile chamber choirs of the country. Now it its 26th season, it has been praised for accomplished performances of major works and for exploring contemporary repertoire. Recent concerts include a celebration of Benjamin Britten’s 100th anniversary, Tchaikovsky’s ‘Sacred Pieces’ and Mozart’s Mass in C Minor.

Mary Plazas – soprano soloist: Mary has sung principal with major opera houses in the UK and internationally, including ROH, ENO, Opera North, and Opera de Lyon. Roles included the lead in La Boheme and Madame Butterfly. She has premiered important new works and operas including two roles and choral pieces for Jonathan Dove. She has also worked with UK orchestras including Channel 4 and the BBC.

Held at the iconic St Martin in the Fields, in London’s Trafalgar Square, this traditional Carol Service is a beautiful way to see in the Christmas season.
