Latchetts Garden party raises over £4,000
Livability raised a total of £4,250 from their annual Garden Party on July 12th at the stunning Latchetts Garden in Sussex. This was the 3rd year running that the Latchetts owners, Rebeka and Laurence Hardy, had invited Livability to hold a garden party there.
Around 170 people attended to enjoy the world famous cakes from the ‘Livability Cafe’, the breathtaking scenery and the brilliant music from the Sutton Salvation Army Band, the Adur Concert Band and Jenny Green.
Latchetts garden itself is 8 acres in size and contains a 17th century farmhouse set amongst the ponds, water features, roses, dahlias, peonies, a wisteria pergola. You will find a sunken garden, a wild flower meadow, a woodland walk and even the renowned ‘Scary Path’.
A Mr Ward, who attended the event, said ”We have had such a wonderful day. This is the first time we have been to Latchetts and it really is amazing! There is so much to see around every corner. I’ve never seen a more imaginative garden.’ High praise indeed!
Livability’s Events Fundraising Officer, Anna-Karien Drost, said ‘It’s fantastic to see so many of Livability’s supporters having such a wonderful time at Latchetts. I want to thank all the volunteers and musicians who made this event so enjoyable. We cannot thank Mr and Mrs Hardy enough for their generosity in opening their beautiful gardens in support of Livability.’
